Berger suggests 1 in 10 twist or faster for .284 168gr Hunting VLD's. I'm playing with them now in my 7Mag with same twist rate. Need more loading/reloading/range time, but who doesn't. So far, so good though, actually very well for a late 60's, early 70's ish model 700 bdl that was my fathers, and barely used. After approximately 16yrs overseas I'm just getting back into this at a whole new level, thx to this site and all the egos (LOL). Check maybe Hornadys website for their recommended twist to bullet weight.
