I am new to ELR. Can anyone tell me of any 1000 yard ranges in southeast Michigan ???

None that I know of in SE Mi. You might have to travel a little ways to Thunder Valley in Ohio or Young's Long Shot in Indiana.
Try MTC in Lake City, MI or MKM in Kennerdell, PA.

We have a 1300 yard range on our recreational land near Howell Michigan, It requires a simple land lease (must have land rights to exercise your 2A rights in the township) but if you are serious about long range shooting it will save time and money over traveling to distant ranges. You can get to it in about an hour from Detroit, Flint, Ann Arbor or Lansing. LR classes are included in the lease. We are not a range or a gun club but a non-profit recreational land lease with a range we are not open to the public, but we are accepting lessees.
