I just got a savage 110 ba and plan on getting a Leupold down the road but want to get a sub $700 scope for the time being. Any suggestion? Also I plan on shooting 1000+ meters.

Vortex Viper PST in SFP 6-24x50 is about the price your looking at. You wont need to buy a Leupold then. I have have a couple PST's in my hand and own a FFP Viper and they blow Leupold out of the water IMOP. Pretty close to the Nighforce line in optics but $800 cheaper with an outstanding warranty! Look at the Razor if you ever decide to upgrade.
