Shotties are not my Forte . It a Winchester Pump . What am I looking for ? When getting 12 Gauge barrel reamed and tapped .
Is there a standard for Thread per Inch that I am looking for, that will fit all aftermarket Chokes I see sold out there ?

+1 on what phfxa said. Most chokes use a 32tpi but the ID of the barrels major and minor diameters will be different depending on manufacture. Also some especially older barrel thickness may be to thin to be able to cut. That said the tooling is also pretty pricey I would say not worth buying if your only gonna try and do one barrel. Briley is also pretty expensive but you get what you pay for. In the long run you might want to look into getting another barrel that already has removable chokes will probably be cheaper in the long run

I been browsing, Another replacement barrel is the way to go to ( economic wise ) . Replacements Winchester, especially fixed-choke they are plentiful and good pricing , 'full choke' most all I see are real long tubes 26" 28" .

32 tpi , is good to know . going to start browsing for someone local to ream and tap .
Would not mind having own Tap, Reamer and bushing set, but I just not that heavy into shotgun, I would have to have 4 or 5 barrels to choke to make it payoff .

I been shooting and gaining more appreciation for the 12 Gauge, they lightweight and really easy handling .
I want to get shorter length . ( 18.5"-20" ) For, 00 buck and #4 buck for wooded area and tighter areas . I have a 18.5" barrel and plenty of meat on muzzle wall thickness for reaming . want to get to pick and choose to match Chokes to Loads for tightest pattern out to about 50+ yard max. .
