41.6 is Bergers max on these bullets so I tried some the other day at 41.5,41.6,41.7 of H4350 and they shot great. I did not chrono. I am seeing a lot of people shooting these with 43 to 44 grains of 4350, how are they doing this without problems? I shot them out of a 24 inch Bartlein.

cause whoever published that number from berger is retarded, and may as well not even wasted everyone's time with it

43.3, 20 thou off in a saami spec chamber has been run in so many barrels now with great success ive lost count...work your way up...i went to 44.5 in one of mine before ever seeing any pressure signs

I understand your opinions. I just started shooting the 130's so I haven't had a chance to push them up past the numbers I posted. They shot great at those numbers so I want to reload some of those and see what kind of numbers I get with those and then go from there.

I run berger H vld 130's in my 6.5x47L at 2975 with varget. I tried H4350, but at 42.8 grains it get really compressed. Not sure what cartridge your shooting tho.

Well I did my testing with a 1 pound bottle. After I had it where I wanted, I opened up one of the new 8# jugs I just got.

The single pound was 39.2 grains at 2950.

I loaded up some thinking all would be good, but found it to be too hot.

3012 with the same load of 39.2 out of the 8#. Had bolt lift/ejector flow.

I am down to 38.3 at 2975 fps. 2 thou neck tension.

I honestly think it needs to be slowed down a bit. My speeds are faster than what the majority have posted. I am shooting a bart pipe 24" with a can. Right when I got to 2930-50 my SD/ES was really nice. If I were shooting a creed, IMR 4451 might be a small bit better since it will have better case fill.
