I used to work in AK, specifically in Talkeetna in the aviation world. My company had the contract with the park service to fly in and fly out the "poop cans" mandated by the park service for all parties on the glaciers in the park. This was 18 years ago. So in theory, no one has been crapping and chucking it into crevasses for a long time. In fact, there used to be fines if caught not pooping in your "poop can".

I will say, on a warm day in June, those cans start to thaw a bit on the way down from the Kahiltna Glacier. Not the most pleasant aroma. Its what I feel the edge of the woods would smell like @Tucker301's when we have the Hide meet up with all us heathens too lazy to walk to the bank of portajohns that Mrs Tucker is demanding are ordered and paid for by the Deplorables.

Anyway, I read about a lot of poop smelling foul and thought of all you guys.

Nah....it's currently being fed ~1800lb/hr. At this rate we might not burn 20T for the 24hour day. Day crew will probably shut down for lack of inventory.
I guess it isn't germane to the OP, as it is far from frozen. The "skin" is hot enough to fry an egg.
If you sit your can of beenie weenies on that port near the floor with the blind flange, in about 20 minutes they'll be nice and warm.
Way back we used to bake potatoes on the preheat burner skin. We hardly ever run that anymore.

You would think. Try spreading a nice product like this on a field. If someone finds out what it is the NIMBYs come out in droves.

Gotta watch out for the heavy metal confent from industry dumping bad stuff down the pipes years ago.

On a side note everyone is on head meds and your body only metabolizes part of it. Who knows what effect this is having on people and the environment. Waste is processed and discharged in water ways and spread on crop fields. I think all the estrogen from birth control is causing effeminate males but I could be way off base. Pretty sure they found frogs that were hermaphrodites (sp?) caused by water contamination

And it stinks. I grew up on a farm and find the smell of cowshit not terribly unpleasant. Even when its liquefied and sprayed on fields its not too bad. But sprayed human waste just fucking stinks...not to mention, as you suggest, other effects.

Shit from herbivores like cattle contain mostly plant fibers. Omnivores and carnivores, on the other hand, contains far more variety of stuff whose digestion / fermentation byproducts can be quite aromatic.
