144gr berger and varget

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has shot the 144fr berger in a 6.5x47 with varget? Got plenty of varget but no 4350

I did initially when I was down to a single one-pounder can of the Magic V. Switched to N550 and didn’t look back. Varget is a wee bit fast in this combo, much better with 120s. My initial testing with Varget and 144s gave me pressure signs a bit earlier than expected. H4350 would be a good match, but N550 combined with CCI 450s was the sweet spot for me.

It will certainly work and work well if you don't try to push speed limits. Varget is one of the most versatile rifle powders out there.

For comparison...

N550 - my load is 38.4gr

H4350 - also good, perhaps a tad slow

Varget - now you're seeing pressure even earlier, barely into the 2600fps zone. So again, better suited to 120s
