I was getting ready to load up some rounds to do a little testing, and was going to follow the path I'd taken with 155gr sierra. In Winchester brass I loaded up to 48.5gr with no pressure signs with the sierra 2156 bullet.
Using Varget, I switched to lapua cases, so I lowered the max charge by .9gr to be safe. However, while loading up some rounds, I notice that 47.0gr is pretty compressed, and 47.3gr...well lets just say I can't seat the bullet to 2.800"
Is the brass/bullet combo that much different? I can't seem to find load data for the Lapua's. I found data for the Sierra's at the Hodgdon website.
What kind of charges are other people running with this combo? I've seen a couple of people's ladder tests where they find run all the way to 47.8gr, and are finding an accuracy node about a half gr before that(47.3gr). I know data found online isn't guaranteed to be safe, which is why I'm asking here for a sanity check.
