Hey guys....been doing quite a bit of research on the posts for info on the subject above.
My rife specs are in my sig .....I am looking for a chart that is specific about what the load data is for my rifle. I'm loading Lapua brass, CCI 200 primers, Varget, and 155 Scenars. I'm looking at seating them at 2.235 (ogive) but still not sure about powder (or pressure more importantly) in the 26" barrel.

Thinking of starting at 45.0 and working up a few others to 46.0 ......is this a safe starting load?

Thanks!!
Mike

Re: 155 Scenars with varget

Start at 45.0, work up in .2gr increments, find pressure, rock and roll from there. Also consider the Sierra 2156, as they prefer a jump...which is great for long throated factory rifles.

Re: 155 Scenars with varget

If it helps I shoot 45.5 varget and get 2883 and that is out of a 23" tube. 1/4 moa at 500 yards with a gap crusader.

Re: 155 Scenars with varget

thanks guys....ok, started at 45.0, went to 45.6

I will see what they shoot this weekend.

Thanks for the heads up!!

Re: 155 Scenars with varget

I ran 45.5gr of Varget with the Sierra Palma MK's.

Re: 155 Scenars with varget

I was running 45.4 in my 22" gap. 2825fps. With the 26" barrel you'll be running a bit faster. But you should have an accuracy node within that 45.0-46.5g mark. My guess you'll be about on at 45.5g. Just my 2cents.

did a ladder test with my rem sps 308 20", 150 grain Nosler BT, Fed brass, GMM primers, Varget from 44-47 grains with no pressure signs that my buddy or I could see. 2600-2875fps
