AT 102 F had a small black speck primer leak, first time that has happened maybe because I try not to be out there in direct sun at 102F.

Just barely started playing with them myself. With my RL15 load they shoot great at 100. Thats all I've tested so far. Need to work on a Varget load.

My 155 Scenar load is 44.0 gr RL15, 210M, RA60 brass, 23" bartlein, palma chamber, 4000ft ASL, 2850 fps. 8.7 mils to 1k.

haven't taken it out to 1000, just started working up loads for it really but im getting 2800 out of my 18" rock creek.

yeah i saw it but still can't believe your getting 7.6 mils one day and 8.2 another with nearly the same heat.

BTW Kingpin it was about 5500ft Density Altitude on Saturday, we'll cover that chapter when you get back.

Douglas aka Kingpin was running 7.4 mils to 1000 and only missed the clay target by a inch or two of wind.

Me thinks his USO (i sold him)is fucked up or <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #FF0000">his .308 is magic</span></span> considering he's flatter than my 142 SMK 260 load.

Although the USO shot same elevation as does my Leupold when it was on my 260.

can any body figure this out
first day it shot perfect 8.2 mil @ 1000(as i predicted)
next day 7.6 mils
last night 7.4 mils

no cleaning in between... velocity remains the same at 2940+- 15fps
Zero remains the same.
We also dialed and used the reticle to hold over to confirm correlation.
BTW coldbore shots (data) were at 1000 so barrel is not heating.

I'm getting 3050 fps via 57gr RL15, moly, Win brass, 22" 1/10 twist Douglas barrel. .5 moa accurate. 24.5 moa to 1000 yds at 4500' elevation.

Very cool. I'm going with a 25" 1-10 twist so I may get a hair more but under 7.5 mils to 1000 sounds cool.

Rich, When you were shooting at 1000 with 7.4 mils did you run it back to zero and shoot it at 100? Or did you shoot it at 100 first? Or both?.......strange.

Both my GAP rifles are. I have to seat out long to get at the lands.

How does the 155's run in the precision gassers?

I just started playing with the 2156 this week and preliminary looks very good. TRG 22, Lapua brass, Fed GM primer, 47 grains Varget, 3.250 to ogive, 108F, dens alt 8247, 9.6% hum. 2 5 shot 5/8" MOA @ 600, needed 12.25 MOA. The load is very close to my pet load of VV 150, 155 Berger match accuracy wise and that was first outing for the 2156, come up was same for both. No pressure signs but 47 Varget is listed MAX in my manual. My rifle did not like the old 155 Palma, I think they may have hit a home run with the 2156.

How do the bullet ogive measurements compare with the Laupua 15 scenar?

I'm curious...

My loaded rounds are 3.25 from the ogive as well... I'm curious how the two bullets compare side by side from an ogive measurement perspective.

I was out shooting this morning. I just switched from 175 gr Sierra's to 155 Scenars.
Here's the data from this mornings session:

AI AWP 20" factory barrel with can
155 Gr Scenar seated to 2.850 OAL, 46.5 Varget, virgin Lapua brass, BR2 primer
MV 2790 @ 350ft alt, 95 F, 40% Humidity
9.6 mils to 1K with 100 yd zero
