I am trying to find a thread/post that I read a while back.

I have done a bunch of searches and read countless posts in the .308 deopot trying to find a load someone posted as George's pet 155 load for his 308 chambers.

If anyone has it will you please post.

Thanks, Craig

Re: 155's/IMR4895/GAP rifle load

45.6 IMR 4895 and 155 scenar in Lapua brass is a popular and well vetted load. I am getting a consistent 2850 out of a 24" barrel with extremely low (single digit) ES and SD and less than 1" grouping at 300.

Re: 155's/IMR4895/GAP rifle load

i went through the standard VARGET and RE15 loads but found surplus IMR4895 to give lower ES and SD. i can push the 155's 2970 w/o pressure signs.

chuck

i am using the Hornady 155 amax, with 44.5 gr of varget...it shot to MOA, while seated to the lands, so i am going to play with seating depth...may be a good place to start

+1 on the 45.xx of IMR4895 and 155s, all my 308s will shoot a load in the vicinity.

Lapua 155 scenar on top of 45.7 grs of RE15 seated at 2.835 shoots bug holes in my Badger

Try about .1" off the lands. Works for me.
