16" upper on a standard A2 recoil system

Are there any reliability/cycling issues associated with installing a 16" barreled upper w/carbine gas system on a standard A2 stock w/rifle-length recoil system?
Just wondering if changing recoil springs needs to be considered.

Negative...it should run just fine.

There are plenty of carbine-length gas systems/barrels out there that get used with the A1/A2 stock assemblies and buffer/spring components. You should NOT need to change anything to achieve correct functioning with that setup.
