168 smk vs 175 smk

I have reloaded 168 SMK with 43,5 Varget. Same formula I used for the 175 smk that I can no longer find in stock. My question is at 600 yards what can I expect as far as elevation difference ? Everything else is exactly the same. Federal case, cci primer and 2.800 OAL. Thanks

About 20 inches or so. I use 44.3 varg on the 175s and 45 gr for the 168s but that is what my elevation change is, according to Bullet Flight. The big difference comes out farther but you can already see the diff between the BC of the two bullets at 600 yards.

Google JBM ballistics and you can do the calculations yourself.

Hornady 168 BTHP @ ~ 2710fps (and RE-15) I dial 4.5 mils for 600 yards. And with factory loaded Federal GM 175's @ ~ 2650fps. I need 4.7 Mils for 600 yards.
