Will the new AI .223 mags handle the .17 Remington Fireball?

The 17FB is pretty short. I don't know if you would ever get it to feed reliably. But who has actually gotten one of the AI 223 mags?

In the new Remmy bolt guns in 17 Rem fireball it appears to be a s/a mag with a "block" of some sort in the back of the mag that appears to be removeable.So it seems you could add that to make a 223 mag work.

I have heard of a few 17 Remington Fireballs built on AR uppers. A few guys said they got the mags to feed well, others could not get it to work well. As soon as I get my mags from Adam I will try it out. I love the 17 Remington Fireball. Works great for me on woodchucks.
