I have recently had the chance to purchase a large volume of some M72 ball 173 grain FMJBT. Does anyone have any info on this. I have ony been able to find info on loaded ammo and not on the projectile.

Thanks for your help.

173gr FMJBT, open base, lead was put in from the rear. They are a bit better than 147gr FMJBT bullets but not quality bullets like a Sierra. There is an issue with how well the base of the bullets were formed with the lead being swaged in from the rear and also, some of the jackets had different thicknesses causing out of ballance/accuracy issues.

Use the 175gr Sierra load data.
