I loaded 175gr scenar-L .308 over 43.2gr of RE-15 (most accurate load so far). lapua brass, CCI 200 primer. 2.830 OAL. I do not have any fancy ballistic programs and have not yet chronographed the load. Groups at 100yds have been .5moa and some ive managed to get .35moa when i'm lucky. I simply used hornady ballistic calculator to get an idea of where i need to be on my scope. it was 115 degrees out, AZ is a hot place to shoot in the summer, and according to hornady my come up was 6.5mils. There was little to no wind and I was only .3mils to the left on my adjustments when on target. When I got on target (10"x10" ar500 plate) I ended up being at 5.8mils which is about 20" lower. I was wondering what other guys have been at on their adjustments with similar loads and what their velocities have been at. Also are there any other factors I may be missing that would cause it to be off this much or is this about where you guys are at? I'm fairly new at this so any info would help.

ShootersCalculator.com | Ballistic Trajectory Calculator

I've been using this online calculator.

There are others; "JBM Ballistics Calculator" , is also a good one.

For both myself and another shooting buddy it's been VERY accurate. simply fill in as much information as possible and it seems to spit out an accurate drop and windage table.

My thoughts are that you need to get an accurate velocity reading through your rifle. Then add in your bullets BC and the weather conditions at your range. The more info in ,the more accurate info OUT.
