Hello,

I just bought 2 rifle in 3006 I want to try for moose hunt:

1. Browning BAR Mark2 safari in 3006
2. Tikka t3 hunter in 3006

I have 178gr ELD-X and want to load them with IMR4350 or IMR4064 for accurate load using CCI BR2 or Federal 210 primers in regular Hornady and Remington cases.
What is accurate load? I will be shooting up to 200 yards.
What is loaded ammo COL for Browning and Tikka?
What primer is recommended to use : CCI BR2 or Federal 210
Anyone has experience loading this bullets with this power in these rifles.
I know, I am asking too much .LOL

Thanks
Any help will be appreciated

Joe

I use IMR 4350, H4350, RL 16 and RL 17 for the O6. Of course, H4350 and RL 16 are temperature insensitive. All are accurate once you find the accuracy node and seating depth for your rifle. I use the CCI 250 Mag Primer for the both my 30-06 and 25-06. I have used the BR2 and really haven't noticed an improvement over the CCI 200 or 250. I would also look at the 180 Nosler Accubond.

Oh, for a hunting rifle I start at .010 off the lands and test in .005 increments once I find the charge weight. In the 06's I have had they have shot sub MOA between .015 and .030 off the lands.
