    Vegas Baby!
I recently just came into possession of some 185 Berger HPBT. Anyone have a good Varget load for a 20" .308 in either Lapua or Win brass? I'm probably going to work up a set between 43.0 and 44.0, maybe even up to 44.5 and see how they do. Just seeing if anone has had luck with these in this short a barrel (1/12 twist).

I shoot them occasionaly out of my 26" barrel and they do ok, also a 1:12" twist.

I cant recall the exact load I was using for varget, but my rifle allows me to push the boundaries without overpressure.

Keep in mind they will shoot slow and you will lose a bit of FPS out of the 20" barrel.

I wouldnt go any heavier in my barrel. They shoot too slow and right on the edge of needing a faster twist rate, so when they drop out they drop out hard.

Are these the VLD or non VLD? If its a VLD i would just go straight for the lands I work your loads up from there.

I much prefer the 155 scenar to just about any match projectile in a .308win. I think in a .300winmag or .300wsm these projectiles would be fantastic
