Ive seen fist hand the 155 lapua scenar do extemely well at long range, but has anyone had the same or better results from the 185 scenars?I see they are not as popular as the 155?It shows to have a higher B.c.Im tempted to order 1000 from the group buy or should i just stick with the `155?Best twist rate for this,i have a 1-11.25 twist wonder if would print good groups?

Its all in what you gun likes to shoot. Try both and then get what shoots best. In my guns the 185 shoots better. It is more forgiving

This is just my personal opinion and experience; they shoot very well in 11.25 or 12. They are not as forgiving as 155(2950 fps) when shooting unknown distance with error in range estimation; you have to be dead on with the estimate. For me they have a recoil impulse that is more difficult to follow thru the shot if there is any error in being straight behind the rifle or other misalignments.

For me they have more negatives, so I am shelving 600 185L and purchased 4000 155L if I could call the wind better at a 1000 yds that would be a bigger improvement than BC at .308 speeds.

I see all these post about shooting a 155 Lapua at 2950 to 3000 fps. That it what is looks like this bullet likes. But what about shooting a 175 SMK at 2925 to 2950. What bullet is better. I know someone is going to say you cant get that out of a 308 with those bullets. But i do it every day. So i ask what is better a 155 at 2950 to 3000 fps or a 175 at 2925 to 2950. And yes this is out of a 308. From what i have shot a 175 at 2925 will beat a 155 at 2950 to 3000 un less i am wrong whitch i coud be.

Okay, I'll say it "You can't get that out of a 308 with those bullets". Not at sane pressures, anyways. Get your chrony out of the direct sunlight.
