Gunsmithing 1911 combat commander barrel link pin

The barrel link pin keeps coming out of the link. Don't know if this has been covered yet, but couldn't find anything. Don't know how it happened or what could have caused it. Want to know how to fix it or what the best solution would be. 1911 Colt Combat Commander .45 acp.

a slight peen on each side of the barrel lug with a sharp punchwill keep it in place.
It is really not a problem after you have the weapon assembled. Just a PITA to assemble and the risk of it falling out and bouncing under something where you just can't quite reach it.
I usually hit both sides of the lug with a file after peening.
