Suppressors 1911 Rail

I have a 1911 .45 and mine didn't come with a light rail. I've seen DLsports custom rail and surefires rail you can add on. Anyone every use these? Anyone else ever do that?

Dawson rail is a good way to go. I've installed a few for customers and they like 'em

I don't recall who did the work, but you could have Dawson, or anyone of the Louderthanwords guys do it. John Harrison would be a good one. Best of luck, Jason

I did the Dawson as well. Just remember that standard 1911 holsters aren't going to work anymore.

Just a thought, you can have Blade-Tech make you a custom holster for 65.00. Tough to beat them. I have many of their products. J

there are holstered designed for the Dawson rail, i dont think any holster for a railed model will work.

I would stay away from the brownells rail for the simple fact that it is thicker and will prevent the gun from fitting in a standard rail gun holster. I found this out the hard way. I silver soldered mine then duracoated the frame.It is definitely solid but I had to have a holster made as it will not fit in a Safariland or a serpa. I would definitely go with a Dawson if I do another.
