Roll back the clock, it's 1974 and I send a 1911 Remington Rand to Jim Clark Sr. for a rebuild/custom .45. Fast forward to 2012 and I still have it, only 7rds. put thru it in all these years. I have all the traditional calibers from .22 thru .357Sig.
Now I have the itch to shoot a .45 but not this one [been following advice from those who say they know], I looked at the Para's, Springfields's, RIA's, etc. I had
exactly $600 to spend. Along comes a Sig.P220R DA/SA in Nitron finish with night sights NIB no shipping, no FFL transfer fee to my FFL for exactly $600 bucks. I did not have the will power to pass up the Sig. WTF
Time to shoot everything?
If you haven't seen J. Clark Sr. work here is a pic. of the 1911.
