So I acquired a 1911 from 1918. Everything matches. The problem is that the person owning the gun before me, though it was a good Idea to peen the slide stop pin down and make it round. Thus not allowing the slide stop to be removed. My thought it to drill it out and replace it with another correct era part. anyone know of a Gunsmith willing to do this. Let's ask that question a little different. Know anyone you would recommend.
