So I score this old Winchester Model 70 Marksman. Couldn't pass it up. The thing was built in '71 and I can't tell if it's actually been fired. The stock is uncut but did come with a ventilated pachmyer recoil pad which I don't think is original... not sure what the reason was for that but whatever. It also came with an old Redifield 4-12 accu-trac. Now for the question... keep the Redfield, mount the old Weaver T-6 that's in the pic, or find an old T-10. I'm not sure the T-6 has enough magnification but haven't shot it yet either.

She's beautiful looking- I've been looking for a Mod 70 myself but I'm holding out for a pre-64. I'd keep the T-6 on for now until you get a chance to give her a work out at the range. Hard to tell if the pad is original- I believe some did come with a recoil pad that looked like that... but I could be wrong. Either way- very nice!

Keep both. They don't make 'em like they used to.

I bought a new T-10 in 1979. Iron Sight replaced the seals and installed a mildot reticle a few years ago. I love it still.
