Well, we'll see where this one leads. I live in a very, and I mean VERY little spot along a road. Middle of nowhere and everybody knows everybody. All 12 of us or so. We have 2 new folks to the area. They're from Cali and couldn't be a better fit to the area than if they were local. We got lucky with them. They aren't all fucked up and indoctrinated. But other places aren't so lucky and I know we're gonna get some asshats, but I bet they don't stick around. I've been down this road before with tourists that happened across a nice day up in Sekiu where I grew up. Most were gone either during or just after the first good rain. You know, the one that doesn't stop for weeks.

From the peoples republic of Oregon we are in the same boat. Our governor Kate Brown wins the state with only 7 counties. She is the Governor of Portland and could care less about the rest of the state. Some Rabbi, American Jew, is getting signatures for anti assault rifle legislation. Of course 10/22's and everything under the sun is in there. I will never understand American Jews when it comes to this kind of thing. Baffling.... The eastern counties are not willing to play the ban game. In my county the Sheriff says this proposed law is unconstitutional and he will not enforce it. The State Police here I have talked to say the same thing as have the BLM LE and Tribal PD. What is happening is our governor antd the state legislature are becoming irrelevant. I really live in a city state where 7 counties decide for everything for us. Most of these people will never go to the East side of the state. When they do they look down their noses at us like they are visiting the lower provinces. We have a bird festival here where birders come. Some of these folks are pretty nice but others really are not. Sure spend your money and go home. Come here for a week and spit on our way of life.
The problem isn't just guns, its everything. Western Oregonians are the first to pitch a fit if we want to put in a solar farm yet they have the dams on the Columbia. Kate Brown could care less most of the big potato outfits moved their headquarters across the river into Idaho from Ontario Oregon. Hell, she probably doesn't even know Ontario is in Oregon. In the little town of Burns Oregon, the state puts people on buses from western Oregon here because they can get housing and subsistence. There are few jobs here but they send them taxing our local services, schools etc. I see absolutely no reason to be part of Oregon anymore. I wish this was Idaho, or Nevada.

The liberals and 2A-haters have been heavily attacking gun rights for the past 5yrs. Luckily we've been able to hold them off with our votes. Seattle is the major cause of this as most of the libtards and socialist congregate in the dense urban areas thinking the police will help them or they have hired guns to protect them. Other than Seattle and a few other liberal cities the majority of the state is pro-2A.
Family still there. Family reunion ever year at the end of June but I don’t always make it back. Thinking about going this year but work may interfere. If I did make it back I’d spend a day with family and then probably shoot the remainder......with a muzzle brake?

I live 2 hours north of Seattle now, but lived in Oroville for a couple of years. No one on that side of the state cares much for the west side. Same as Oregon, it is a state divided.

Personally I prefer my Jews heavily armed. I grew up with 90% of my friends Jewish kids (very left wing families), but as an adult I find I get along much better with Israelis. We seem to see eye to eye on just about everything, and culturally they're as close to Americans as you can find outside our shores. I was deployed to Israel twice, and I back in the '90s I can tell you that an American, uniformed, serviceman was treated much better in Israel than we were treated at home. We didn't get spit on or anything, but the only "Thank you for serving" came from other veterans. If you went out in Haifa with your dress uniform on you couldn't pay for a drink or a meal anywhere you went.
Got to see that when I went to college in Moscow Idaho. My buddies from WSU would come across the border to party as the drinking age at the time was 19. Not a lot of good to say about Seattle then?
IIRC, the section of I-270 is one of the deadliest sections of highway in the nation (Drunk Drivers/headons.....).
That, and I-64 in Farmington, NM. In front of the BIA office on one side and all the check cashing and liquor stores on the opposite side of the highway. The Indians would get their welfare checks at the BIA office, hoof it across the highway, cash their checks, purchase/get liquored up, and try to out Superman Semi's while crossing back across the highway. Didn't end well in many cases. Spatulas and pressure washers to clean up the mess.

This has been my experience. As a general rule American Jews are socialists, and liberal. Israelis for the most part get it. A friend of my Dads was a holocaust survivor. He came to the US with nothing. He had diamonds inset in his molars because he said he never wanted to start out with nothing again. He of course was a jeweler by trade. He spoke many languages and was one of the most incredible combat pistol shots I have ever seen. He was a Jewish Defense League Jew and very pro second amendment.
