I am looking for a scope to put on a hk91 rifle. I want something that can be used close range like a red dot and then for distance shooting as well. I would like to keep this under a grand on cost.

I would like to be able to do some range finding with it as well.

I am looking at the recommendations Burris 1.5-6x40 XTR scope, but have read mixed reviews.

Anyone have an recommendations?

Thanks.

Millett DMS.

Unless you'd like a 1.5 - 6X USO w/ a C2 reticle

I really like the millet DMS, i am wondering about the likely hood of me being able to use it to range find and the long term durability of them.

I see the have very positive reviews though.

The pics of the reticle that I saw on another forum makes me somewhat skeptical about the "daylight visible" claim.
Never the less, it does seem to be an pretty interesting scope

The original Hensoldt 4x is a very compact and bright option, plus has a 600yd .7.62x51 Nato bullet drop cam. For about $300 you should get the StaNag mount, battle pack and scope in As-New condition. Can probably find the reticle illuminator fairly easily also for $30 more.

Very good all around scope and the mount set is very lightweight.

Lots of other good options mentioned, but if you want a fast reaction sight at excellent price point, the Hensoldt is hard to beat.
