Savage 10FCP-HS precision 5R , .308
Vortex Viper PST 6-24X50 SFP Mil/Mil with 19 mrad (65 MOA)adjustment .
I will be doing shooting at 100, 200 and 300 yards ... mostly 200 yards . Will it be too close to use the 20 MOA base with this scope adjustment ... ?
QUESTION #1 : Which EGW base should I use ... 0 MOA base or 20 MOA base ?
I will be using the Burris XTR rings to go along with the aluminum EGW base(I am on a budget here) ...
QUESTION #2 : Can I use the LOW rings (1/4" = 6.35mm ) or should I go with the medium rings (1/2" = 12.7mms) ?
I think I can get away with the low rings and the 0 MOA base , counting the covers , but I would like very much to be reassured by the guys here that really really know what to do . Many thanks ...

Re: 2 final questions to complete the set up

Go on and get the EGW 20moa base. like many have said on here, better to have and not need then need and not have.
Low rings will work just fine.

This is a stevens action with a #7 contour barrel.
Weaver 20moa base (EGW base is a little taller)
Weaver low rings (.25")
Weaver 3-15x50 scope

Re: 2 final questions to complete the set up

hey, fast : That is a very nice stick, alright ... Thanks for solving the rings height problem . That height is perfect .
I have some doubt on the 20 Moa base because perhaps the scope won`t go down enough for shorter distances like 100, 200, 300 yards ... it has 65 Moa of adjustment , but if you guys say that it would work , then I will get the 20 Moa .
