20" barrel 1k yards 155 scenar or 178Amax

Been shooting 168 Amax with good sucess out to 600yards but I want to push it out further. I figured 175smk or 178amax but I worry about being able to push them fast enough in a short tube. I've been reading a lot about 155 scenars and am wonder if they would be a better choice. what load are you short barrel guys using?

Look at the 178 BTHP with it's .530 BC. You should be able to get them close to 2700fps with a 20" barrel. Of course a factory barrel might be a little slower.

I have no problem getting 155 Palmas out beyond 1000yrds and they group better than my 168s at the same distance which is counter intuitive but a reality in my case.
