I'm putting together a shopping list for an AR trainer and was wondering what I should use for a little extra slope. The two things I've thought about are the Badger Ordnance sloped riser (22 MOA) and the Larue Tactical LT-158 (10 MOA). Any other options I should be aware of and what would everyone recommend?

On the other I should mention this will be used with an SWFA 3-9x40mm and I'm not sure if I would need the extra slope (it really can't hurt though). Also, I don't have the gun yet (like I said, still in the shopping stages) so if the recommendation is I should shoot first and see if I need it, go ahead and say that.

I think I covered everything, please let me know what you think.

Re: ~20 MOA for AR?

Depending on how far you're trying to shoot, you can get additional slope using Burris 30mm Signature Zee Weaver-Style Rings http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=719934 . Rotate the rear insert to +.010 and the front rotate to -.010. Burris doesn't show extra inserts for the 30mm rings like they do for the 1" rings. I'm using the 1" rings with +.020 in the rear and -.020 in the front on a Ruger 77/22 and a Weigand base to reach 200 yrds with ease.

Re: ~20 MOA for AR?

I have the Badger Ordnance sloped riser (22 MOA) on my DPMS-260, & shimmed it another 10moa works perfect.
