2000-MR Powder

Re: 2000-MR Powder

already using it with the 155 gr bullets...my load is 50.5 grs of powder and a 155 scenar...lake city brass...seated to 2.880 over all length....seeing 3000

so far its temperature stable, only shot twice with it at 70* and then at 40* both times velocities were with in 40fps, and no signs of pressure.

Re: 2000-MR Powder

I had decent results with it in my 308. 48gr with 190 MK 2860fps and 49gr with 178 a-max 2930fps no pressure and there is a lot of room left, it's a very fine powder. In the 223, 28.5gr with 80 MK 2960fps no pressure and room to go. So far nothing I haven't done with RL-17, but will play some more.

Re: 2000-MR Powder

Sounds like all 3 loads are Over WARM to me..How do the 2nd-6th fireing hold primers ..still Tight? No ejector marks, cratering primers or flowing brass?<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Belisarius</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I had decent results with it in my 308. 48gr with 190 MK 2860fps and 49gr with 178 a-max 2930fps no pressure and there is a lot of room left, it's a very fine powder. Re: 2000-MR Powder

Mbrown has some and he was told by allainat to start loads like RL15 loads and work from there..my RL15 does with 80VLD's... 24.5 grains gets me 2880fps 26" barrel...25.6 gr of 2000Pro gets him 2865fps 26" barrel..

In my 300win I am useing the 4000MR with close to same results as RL22..looks like all the PRO is ALLIANTS american brand on of there RL powder..

The loads are fine in my bolt rifles. No flat primers nor ejector marks. The Chargemaster goes superfast with this powder.
