It occurred to me this week that some of my scopes have had the same 2032 batteries in them for DECADES! They all still work except one on a Leupy which is actually the newest but is still 10 years old. So I replaced 5 yesterday and none showed any signs of leakage which shocked me. That is all.

I think out of all the ones I've replaced, only one showed a very slight sign of leakage around the edge. I think tempature extremes will shorten the life of them. The one device that eats the batteries more than anything else I have is digital calipers, may have to change the battery once a year if I'm doing a lot of reloading. In my S&B scopes, they last for years, but I don't often use the illumination.
