I've had 4 different guns chambered in 204 Ruger all with extraction problems. Two T/C Encores, one AR and a Ruger 77. The problem seems to be the 40gn v-max from Hornaday. Remington works great in all the guns. You would think it would be the other way around since Ruger and Hornaday jointly developed the cartridge.

Is anyone else having trouble with 204 Ruger?

maybe Hornady has had some trouble with 204 like with 6.5CM, 338LM brass ,Soft brass. Im not a big Hornady fan and dont use there brass, ammo and soon bullets so I cant say for sure. Just repeating what Ive heard and read on here about the CM/LM rounds and putting two and two together. Maybe my math is wrong tho

Yessir, we've had trouble with extraction out of the savage M-25. It's my friends rifle and he has only shot that round out of it and was wondering what it could be. I'll see about finding some different ammo and trying it out. I'll let you know whether we luck up or not.
