Do you think rl 33 is too slow? Where would a good starting point be? Maybe 80 grains sounds about right. I have other powders that have known loads (h1000, n570) but if I can get good accuracy around 3000fps that would be great. Its a 5r 29 inch krieger barrel.

I think r33 would be too slow. If I were you, Retumbo would be the slowest burning powder id use. Had some great results with 78 grains of Retumbo and the 208 and it LOVES the Berger 215. But I guess you really never know till you try. I might consider trying it on the 230's or 240's but that would be it. Good luck.

I'd stick with H1000 or N570 but I'm almost out and 570 looks like it will become available Spring of 2017. When Retumbo becomes available somewhere that I can buy more than 2 pounds at a time... It is hard to believe people are paying $84 for two pounds. Thank you for the suggestion and Ill keep hunting for Retumbo.
