Anyone shooting the heavies try these? Since 208 amax's are as rare as unicorns I figured these looked pretty good. Unbelievable BC, .7525. When I run out of the 180's I am working with now I will give them a shot.
210 matrix vld in a .308?

As slow as the 308 pushes the 210gr, the BC will not be as advertised. After reading Applied Ballistics by Bryan Litz, the Berger 168gr Hybrid is the hottest performing 308 bullet going. The 308 doesn`t have enough gas to push the heavies fast enough so BC doesn`t help. There comes a time when BC just doesn`t beat velocity.
Well, try some with RL17, its getting those 208's up to 2500-2600 depending on barrel length. Is 2 grains going to be worse? I like heavies in Fclass TR, you are stuck with the 308, the heavies deal with wind better, and wind calls is what wins Fclass. Who cares if you're set up like a mortar, the range stays the same....
