22-250/250 AI in AICS mag

Hey fellas,

My "googlefoo" is weak this morning.....

I just picked up an uber clean D prefix 700 VLS in .22/250. Rifle only had 60 rounds on it by the original owner. Looking to set up a walking varmiter by trimming the barrel back and possibly punching the factory chamber out to a 22/250 Ackley.

I am on the fence on a DBM as its going in an LTR stock & wondering if any of you are running the 250-250 AI in an AICS mag.......

I ran a 243ai with DBM and never had an issue. I'm building another right now.

Thanks JCH,

Was concerned the neck to shoulder on the .22/250 being too steep to feed reliably from the AI mags. Sounds like it won't be an issue.

Not a problem one. Here's my 22-250AI. Feeds fine and I have not done any modifications to the mag at all.

I was concerned as well but wiht the feedback here I went with the DBM on my build thats being done now....
