I have a Rem 700 with a 26 inch barrell and 1 in 14 twist. I tested the 53 gr TSX and was getting like a 4 inch grouping. The barnes manual says that you need a 1 in 12 to shoot both the 53 and 45 gr tsx.

I really wanted to get these bullets to work becuase of the great results I have hunting with them out of my .308 and 7mm Rem mag.

Has anyone had any luck with the tsx out of the 22-250?

Do you think that I shold try the 45 gr and see what happens or just go with a different bullet?

Re: 22-250 and the Barnes TSX question

Did you follow the Barnes seating depth advice? It is CRITICAL to accuracy.
The Barnes is the only bullet with that twist that is adequate for animals larger than varmints. This group was shot with that bullet in a Tikka 22-250, seated 50 thou off the lands.
