I am building a 22-250 upper for my aero m5 lower. From what I have been reading the 308 pmags will work if you don’t load many in the magazine. Has anyone had any experience with this? I will be using my thermal scope on it and suppressor. Hopefully it won’t be a single shot! I have a 5.2 oz buffer and orange spring and will have an adjustable gas block.

Olympic Arms made an AR-15 chambered in .22-250 with a milled-out mag well and their own mags. Notice the case taper and follower.

Are you invested in .22-250 brass and that cartridge specifically?

Well, this sucks. You're learning why nobody makes an ar10 in 22-250. I've been there. I know your pain. That round feeds like garbage when you have more than 4 or 5 rounds in the magazine. A couple quick spins with a reamer and it's a 22 creedmoor, then you can run 25 round mags without a malfunction caused by the ammo

I got it today and shot it just before dark. I didn’t try more than 4 in my 20 rd 7.62 pmags. It is a 20” barrel, rifle length with .093 gas port. I have an adjustable gas block that I will probably need to run the suppressor. I will be happy with 4-5 rounds, the coyotes run off by then anyway. I can keep more mags in my pocket. It cycles great and I am happy with the accuracy. My Winchester model 70 22-250 doesn’t hold any more.

22-250 with light bullets is gonna feed like ass… fast twist 22-250 AI or 22 creed for 75-88s.

You can fireform your 22-250 brass into 22-250 AI or 22 creedmore bass.

I would do a 22 creedmore I have a 6 creedmore gap 10 and if feeds flawlessly…with any type of ar10 mag.
