22-250 bolt question

I think the 22-250 is based off the old 250 Savage. Will the bolt head match up with a 308/06 size diameter case/rim? I don't have the rifle in front of me and a buddy wants to do a rebarrel to a better - heavier bullet hunting round. All I know is it is a Rem 700 in the above mentioned caliber. I cannot remember without a bolt change what this could be rechambered to. Any thoughts?

Yep, a 22-250 is the same size casehead as 308.
