I have a .22 Creedmoor on a Northwest Precision ss action ss .250 lug BSF 1-7 twist carbon fiber barrel 17" long and threaded 5/8-24 at the muzzle. Have TT Diamond trigger on it. Only has one shot thru rifle.

Titanium action .308 bolt face only.

Looks like a guy is getting 3280 FPS with a 80grain and 17” barrel:

22 creedmoor barrel length

Thinking on building a 22 creedmoor for predator hunting. I want as short of a barrel as possible and still hit 3,000 fps with between 75-80 bullets. Any experience with the 22 creedmoor with barrels shorter than 20” out there?
