Hey guys, haven't been on here in a while.

I'm looking about getting a .22 in a center fire.

I'm more into synthetic stocks than wooden ones if i'm honest.

It would be used mostly for vermon (foxes)

Any ideas on a good rifle for a decent price (around £350 - £400, not including scopes)

Oh and im in the UK if it makes a difference

Cheers people

Re: .22 in center fire

I haven't a clue what rifles cost in England. But 223 REM is probably the way to go unless you are shooting WAY out there. 22-250 would be my second choice. If you are looking at shooting 200 yards or less and want to go suppressed, a 22 Hornet or a K-hornet might be the way to go.

Regardless, there are dozens of rifles that would seem to fit the limited set of requirements you have set forth. I'd recommend a 223 Remington 5R if you can get one. Any of the CZ offerings in 223 might be more available in Europe, though.
