22 rifle for my Gem Tech

I am looking for a nice rifle with a threade barrel to fit my Gem Tech that currently sits on my Walther.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would like a heavy contour barrel...maybe a 10/22?

Yeah, one of the distributers (lipseys I think) has a special 16.5" threaded barrel Mk II available... That or build up a 10/22.

You can get a factory CZ 452 with a 16.5" barrel that is factory threaded for a moderator. It will take an adapter due to threads being European, but they are cheap. I have one and they are great little 22's and QUIET.

Ruger 10/22's are really NASTY with a moderator due to blow back into the action. Mine will cause the magazine to malfunction after 20 rounds or so.

i would look for a good bolt rifle , marlin , savage ,cz, annie , etc . there are aftermarket threaded barrels avail for most , and any competent smith can thread a barrel for you . my 10-22 is noticably louder than my bolt

Why stop at one? I really like suppressed bolt guns, go with either the 77/22 or a CZ; 10/22's are cheap enough, go for one of them as well. Once you have the can the possibilities are endless.
