I have an old Savage 112V (single shot .222 Remington from the 1970s) and i must admit i love the .222 Remington caliber. It's ridiculously accurate and so easy to shoot. Many years ago i purchased a Lee Pacesetter 3 die set but didn't start reloading till recently. Thankfully i did save my factory fire formed cases.
If i recall correctly, one of the dies is a full length sizing die, the second die seats the projectile and the final die crimps the case.
The other caliber i already reload for is a 6.5x47 Lapua but this caliber die set consists of only 2 dies....no crimping die.
Does one have to crimp this caliber for a bolt action rifle?
If crimping is not preferred for accuracy then i could always pick up a conventional seating die from Forster as they're not terribly expensive.
thank you.
