I am sure this has been asked, hre is my question though,,,

I have a rem 700 in .223, AICS 1.5 chassis, atlas bipod, Nightforce scope, it is a 1-9 twist, I have had it cut down to 16" and plan to use a suppressor.... what is the best ammo to keep it stabilized for longer distances. I am planning on taking the rifle this November to a class where un-known distances will vary from 100-500 yds..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

75gr Hornady HPBT will work just fine in a 1:9 barrel at 16" velocities (say 2500fps on the slow side), as should 77gr SMK/CCs. Might see better accuracy with 68/69s (only one way to find out...), but stability wise you should be fine with 77s.

As mentioned upthread, I'd run some through without the can first to ensure stability just to be on the safe side.
