I have several hundred cases that I picked up at the local range over the course of last year and I'm gonna start putting em to work. I'm loading for an AR and just want to make sure I get the OAL correct to prevent feeding issues. Should I use the standard 2.26" or shorten it down a smidge?

2.260" is fine

Ditto! 2.26" is the standard, and will fit all your mags perfectly.

Ditto, no need to shorten OAL.

Load a few and stack them in your mags and see how they fit. You can always seat them a little deeper if they ar eclose to rubbing on your mag. I've got some odd mags that at 2.260, the tips drag so I usually load to 2.250" to prevent any hang up.
