223 loads for Tactical SPS?

One of these days I'm gonna take the new Remington sps tactical for a spin. It has the 1 in 9 twist. Any suggestions? I'm thinking about starting with 69gr smk over varget, but I'd love to hear what's working for you? Thanks!

I'll mainly be using it as a midrange gong whacker- something to practice with.

I just got done loading some 75gr amax's. I will shoot them first thing in the morning. I really doubt they will work, but in the off chance they stabilize I will share my load.

69gr Matchking and IMR8208XBR is the ticket. Good velocity, great numbers. very accurate!

I dunno about the SPS, I use 75 gr Amax in my Savage 12FV in 1:9 with 23.4 gr Varget and it works great. 2900 fps out of 26" heavy barrel. This works great out to 900 yards!

For my AR15 16" heavy barrel 1:9, I use 55 gr Vmax W/C and 23.4 gr Varget for ~2850 fps with good stability out to 450 yards. (68 gr HPBT is much more stable tho)

I just got back from the range. I tried rl-15 and 75gr amax. I used 26grs of the rl-15. aol of 2.395. Average f\s 2920 with no pressure signs! My last 3-shot group was .32 @100 yards. I will try to work up a little more this afternoon.

We have been using 23g of 322 and 55gr sierra hpbt.
5 shots groups at 100 that all touch. Haven't tested farther out yet.

I have the xcr I'm sure it is the same barrel below is a group during the ladder test at 300 yards. With four different powder charges. I tried 75 amaxes, 75 vlds, 75 hornady match. It liked them all but I settled on the 77 nosler CC because I have 1500 laying around. Below is the load.
24.7 grains of varget
LC brass
Federal 205 primmers
77cc bullets
2740 fps
Hope nobody gets mad its only four shots, was only trying four diffrent charges. Couldn't get the picture to stay right side up.
