.223 or 6mm for varmint huntig ?

Re: .223 or 6mm for varmint huntig ?

are we talking grounds squirrels or coyotes ? i have 17 ,22 rimfire ,223 and 6mm i use them all . i think the 223 may be one of the best all around . if i was after rock chucks and coyotes i would lean towards a 22-250 or 243

223 and 6mm AI.

My 6mm weighs less than the 223 bolt action due to the stock so it's more comfortable to stomp across corn/bean fields and glass for fur

The 223 is good to about 550-600y (stock savage setup and Choate stock) but the 6 AI will run 105-108 class 6's to north of 1k before breaking minute of g'hog.

I have a 6mmBR that I had put together last year. It's a 40x with a Krieger 1-12 barrel and it shoots one hole groups at 100yds with 70gr MK's. With a 1-8 twist I believe you can shoot up to 105's for longer ranges. I think the 6mmBR is ideal as far as accuracy, barrel life and effiency.
