223 Rem 1761 yards

Figured some of you might like this. I had an impact at 1761 with a 223 with 75 eldm loaded warm. I think it was shot 18, first 2 shots were to get on target and then it was just getting the wind to cooperate.

What was you barrel length and load? We shoot to 1,300 yards and just found a mile location. Might have to try. Very cool.

Factory savage 1:9 26" at 3k fps (wouldnt recomend going that hot lol) it was definitely a hoot, 87moa drop if I remember correctly, only reason I tried/achieved was my buddy said I couldnt ?

I have a Remmy 5R that shoots lights out, but it only has 20 inch barrel. So I doubt Ill get there. I damn sure will sling couple to see.

Problem I have shooting .223's at distance, whether standard or Ackley, is that the "signature" at distance is tough to spot. I've noticed this RO ing at longer range targets as well, particularly if you don't have hit indicator lights. It is fun, plowed field shooting dirt clods in the summer gives you good feedback on.... hits and misses.

Most definitely, luckily this spot is a silty/talcum like soil so spotting splash isn't bad at all
