I am looking for a seating die for a 223 bolt gun. I will be running mostly Berger but also some Hornady and Sierra bullet. The weights will be the 70 to 90 grains. Looked at the Forster, Redding, And have the Hornady with the micro adjuster. What I am looking is one that will give me the least runout and repeatability. Now I am not made of money so once I buy I will have this one for a long time as well. Also is there any other dies I fail to mention that I need to look at ?

    Thanks

If youre not made of money but want good dies with micrometers the forster are nice. I prefer the redding comp seater over all but the comp seater is expensive to say the least.

I like the redding type s FL bushing sizer most but it too is twice as expensive as I can find the forster fl die. The forster sizer is equivalent to the normal redding sizer.

So basically functionally redding=forster and the difference is just personal ambivalence.

I went with the Mighty Armory FL sizing die I thought of giving them a try. If it doesn't work out I will go back to the Forster FL. On the Redding do you have to get a separate seating steam for the Berger bullets?

Of the three best makes of seating dies I have I'm still undecided which I like best.
One is the RCBS COMP seating die with the window and sliding sleeve in 308win, some have said they have problems with them but mine has been flawless with very low run out.
I'm still undecided if I like the Redding COMP seater or Forster micro adjust better, both are very good and easy to use but the Forster is a good bit less money.
