.223 starting load for out to 300 yards dpms 1x8

Looking for a good starting load for .223 , out to 300 yards. I have a DPMS 1-8 20" ss bull barrel. Any help will be great.

What grain bullet are you gonna use?

try some 69gr SMK with varget.

77SMK, 24 grains Varget, CCI-400. If you're worried about piercing primers use a CCI-450 or WSR. Good load out to 600 yards.

I've been really digging Ramshot TAC recently. I've been able to get the same or better groups than varget on my progressive press because it meters better. My load is 24.5gns TAC with a 69 SMK at 2.25OAL

I shoot the 60 V-max with 25.0 grns of Benchmark behind it, drives tacks.

Sierra 52SMK and 26.0gr Varget. IMHO, if that doesn't work in an AR, theres something wrong with the rifle.
