223 with 1 in 10 twist. Max bullet weight? I found an older "new" Browning X-bolt Varmint Special, at my LGS. Nice little gun. Laminated thumbhole stock and stainless action and barrel. I know it won't shoot the heavier bullets, but can't remember what the Max would be for a 1 in 10. Thoughts would be appreciated.

My 1/9's handle 70 grains fine. I would think you could use up to 65 gr OK, but you'll just have to try it. Remember it's the length that matters, so if you use Barnes or something probably the 55gr would be max. Just my experience-YMMV

Josh, you should be able to get by with any of the 68-69 grain Match bullets here without any problems. For what it's worth, I used to use 1x10" barrels for most of the range QC testing with the 69s. Anything much above this, such as the 75-77 grain bullets, are going to need a faster twist.
